the day that her soul faded,

the wildflowers took over her remains.

they suffocated her in their dense petals,

letting their scent stab her head.

the rose thorns punctured her stomach

and legs with

no remorse

and

the sunflowers

sent their bullets

to choke her.

the poppies shot

through her frame

turning her a

burning red.

the clematis wrapped around

her thin neck

as the chrysanthemums tied her to the ground.

the water lilies dragged her by her ankles

into the river,

letting the lotuses

silently,

slowly,

pull her into the eternal depth.

her body

now forever belonged

to the wildflowers.
